What is Liposuction?

No doubt, you are already aware that Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures. Liposuction is a highly effective way to give your figure a helping hand, by removing those stubborn pockets of fat that a good diet and healthy exercise can't seem to diminish.

What Does the Treatment Involve?

Liposuction is a fat removal procedure in which deposits of fat are removed to reshape and sculpt one or more areas of the body including the chin, chest, back, stomach, and thighs. Through a tiny incision, a small tube is inserted and used to vacuum the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin. The small tube is pushed then pulled through the fat layer, breaking up the fat cells and suctioning them out by a vacuum pump or a large syringe. The incision sites are carefully chosen so that scarring is as inconspicuous as possible.

What Will Be Covered During the Initial Consultation?

At the initial consultation you will be asked your reasons for wishing to undergo Liposuction and what your expectations are from the treatment. You will be asked questions about your medical history, whether you are taking any medication or have any drug allergies.

Dr. Lambeth will discuss details of the procedure, what to expect during your hospital stay and during your recovery period. He will also discuss the potential risks and complications associated with the Liposuction procedure. As with any surgery, you will have many questions.
